On 15 September 2026, at the Oman Tax Conference in Muscat, His Excellency Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Oman Tax Authority, pressed send on the GoRoute platform and issued Oman’s first e-invoice through the Fawtara system. The invoice travelled the Peppol network from one Omani company to another and was reported to the Authority while the room watched.
